ALD announces new Executive Committee appointments

ALD announces new Executive Committee appointments

ALD is pleased to announce the following appointments which reinforce the company’s Executive Committee:

  • Miel Horsten is appointed Group Regional Director. He will be responsible for supervising the Nordic region (Denmark, Finland, Sweden and Norway), Ireland (including ALD RE, the company’s fully owned reinsurance company), and the Benelux region, which is already under his supervision, as well as the Group’s procurement function. His appointment is effective 1 June 2020.
  • Pao-Leng Damy is appointed Group Human Resources Director. She will be responsible for supervising ALD’s human resources managementwhich plays an essential role in the Group’s strategic development plans, for the Holding and the Group. Her appointment is effective 1 June 2020.
  • Annie Pin is appointed Chief Commercial Officer. She will be responsible for all of ALD’s main commercial activities including strategic partnerships, developing existing and establishing new business with international key accounts and the development of international products and consulting offers. Her appointment is effective1 September 2020.

Biographies

Miel Horsten

Miel Horsten has over 20 years of experience in the fleet industry both in Europe and the USA. He began his career in 1997 as an Account Manager with Michelin Benelux before joining ALD Automotive in Belgium (then Hertz Lease) in 1999 to manage service operations, eventually becoming International Operations Project Manager in 2001. He moved to the central offices in Paris in 2003 and played an instrumental role in the creation of ALD RE. In 2007, he moved to the USA to create a subsidiary for ALD Automotive as Deputy CEO and returned to Paris three years later to head up Products and Services for the Group. Since 2012, he has been General Manager of ALD Automotive in Belgium.

Miel holds a Master’s degree in Financial and Commercial sciences from Economische Hogeschool Sint-Aloysius and degrees in Corporate Finance and Financial Accounting from EHSAL Management School in Brussels.


Pao-Leng Damy

Pao-Leng Damy began her career in 1994 as a tax lawyer at Mazars et Associés before moving to Arthur Andersen International in 1996 as a tax lawyer and international mobility consultant. In 2001, she joined Societe Generale as a tax law specialist in international compensation plans and went on to become a Compensation & Benefit Manager in 2004 for the corporate and investment banking division. Three years later she moved to the specialized financial services division to head up international mobility and compensation and was appointed Head of Group Diversity for the bank in 2011. Pao-Leng Damy joined ALD as the Head of Human Resources in 2015.

Pao-Leng Damy holds a Master’s degree in Tax Law and Public Finances from the University of Paris II, Panthéon–Assas, and a Master’s degree in Human Resources Management from the Paris–Sorbonne University.


Annie Pin

Annie Pin started her career at Societe Generale in 2004 as a member of the General Inspection. In 2008, she was appointed Head of Yacht Finance for CGI, a subsidiary of Societe Generale. She joined ALD in 2010 as Regional Risk & Project Director for the Nordic Hub, covering Denmark, Finland, Sweden and Norway. In 2016, she was appointed General Manager of ALD Automotive in Norway where the company has become a reference in electric vehicles for the Group, with the highest ratio of "green cars", and a forerunner in implementing responsible mobility offerings.

Annie Pin holds a Master of Business Administration from ESSEC Business school and a Master’s degree from the Paris Institute of Political Sciences.
