ALD Automotive reviews its first 10 years on the operational leasing market in Romania: a market share of 17%, a fleet of 8,864 vehicles and a portfolio of 320 customers.*
In a decade of activity, ALD Automotive has launched innovative mobile apps, as support for its customers’ activities; it has created the first White Label operational leasing product in Romania and has been the first operational leasing company to be actively involved in greening car fleets.

In its first 10 years, ALD Automotive has focused its activity on 3 important levels: offering quality and innovative services, using mobile and online applications to support customers’ mobility needs and protecting the environment.
Quality services, tailored to customer needs
The market development and customers’ needs have been the key driving factors for ALD Automotive in creating products and services adapted to the local conditions. This is how specialised programmes have appeared for different business categories, which has led to the growth and maintenance of customers’ trust.
Moreover, in order to always be one step ahead and anticipate the trends, ALD Automotive and the Nielsen research agency have conducted the first study in Romania exploring managers’ attitudes concerning operational leasing services, targeting more than 400 companies operating in the Romanian market. This is why, in 2015, ALD Automotive turned to one of the most important niches – SMEs. Thereby, along with Toyota, ALD Automotive has created Toyota All Inclusive, the first operational leasing White Label product in the Romanian market.
Digitisation in operational leasing
Taking into consideration the market digitisation trend, ALD Automotive has focused on introducing mobile apps and online platforms, as support for its customers. Thus, the following have been created: ALD mobile, an application that allows contacting and geolocating suppliers; ALD Net, an online reporting application, available 24/7 for fleet managers, which provides real-time analyses for the entire fleet managed, and ALD Carselector which gives users the ability to configure, compare and select the car from a database of over 4,700 multi-brand vehicles. Moreover, ALD Automotive was the first operational leasing company that has provided for the customers a mobile call-centre application, Visual IVR.
Environmental protection initiatives
One of ALD Automotive’s most important areas of development over the last 10 years has been environmental protection. Therefore, the Company has offered defensive and ecological driving classes, through an exclusive partnership with the Titi Aur Academy and has been constantly involved in educating both customers and employees, by offering drive-tests of the latest electric car models in the local market. In addition, ALD Automotive has been the first company to deliver a fleet of electric vehicles to a customer in Romania in the operational leasing system.
