ALD Automotive, one of the most important players on the operational leasing market in Romania, sold online 4 000 used vehicles through its auction platform, ALD Carmarket (www.aldcarmarket.ro).
Since the launch of the closed bidding platform in March 2010, dealers and traders buy online the ALD Automotive end of contract vehicles. In the first 5 months of 2013 alone, 524 used cars were sold to 112 buyers and 92% of these vehicles were purchased online by dealers and traders representing local and export markets.
In just 3 years since its launch, the ALD Carmarket web platform has become the main sales channel for used cars and has gained the trust of an extensive network of buyers who submit online offers for the auctioned cars.
2013 has already attracted a growth of 37% of the users actively placing bids online, compared to the numbers registered at the end of 2012 and has contributed greatly to an average stock of 15 days. In addition, the number of received offers for an auctioned vehicle has risen to an average of 20, in 2013, compared to approximately 18 offers, registered in 2012.
Key benefits of the platform allow potential buyers to find complete and transparent information on the condition of cars, previously evaluated by an independent specialized company and on the history of maintenance interventions which were performed during the leasing life of the vehicle.
For 2013 ALD Automotive plans to further develop its remarketing activity and the used cars sales on the ALD Carmarket platform.
