ALD Automotive, one of the top players on the operational leasing market in Romania, ended 2014 with a 15% fleet increase by reaching a total fleet of nearly 8,400 vehicles and consolidating its position on the market with a share of 17%. At the end of 2014 the company registered a turnover of 30.2 million Euro according to the ALD Group’s reporting system.
ALD Automotive’s customer portfolio also increased in 2014, now counting 270 companies active in fields such as pharmaceuticals, FMCG, insurance, IT or telecom. 80% of the ALD Automotive nationwide fleet is contracted in full service operational leasing, a segment that grew by 9% last year. The rest of 20% of the vehicles is managed in fleet management. ALD Automotive invested in the acquisition of nearly 2,000 vehicles, both new and coming from sales & leaseback contracts.
2014 also brought significant results in the used cars sales through ALD Automotive’s bidding website, ALD Carmarket, where more than 6,000 used vehicles were sold since the launch of the platform five years ago. Last year used car sales were up by 9% compared to 2013, accounting for 1,442 vehicles, out of which 80% were sold online.
For 2015, the 10th year on the Romanian market for ALD Automotive, the company estimates further growth and expects to reach a fleet of over 9,000 vehicles. ALD Automotive will continue its strong collaboration with clients offering consultancy in fleet cost optimization solutions and new services aimed at increasing their fleet performance and mobility.
