ALD Automotive, one of the top companies on the operational leasing market, announces its first delivery of an electric car fleet with operational leasing services to Orange Romania, the local telecom market leader. The four electric vehicles are hatchbacks and are very efficient for daily urban mobility.

The four electric vehicles are added to the auto fleet which ALD Automotive is managing for Orange Romania since 2006. The ALD Automotive and Orange partnership expands to an international level, where as an important Group client the telecom company has a significant eco vehicle fleet managed through operational leasing, Romania being the first Central and Eastern European country which develops this kind of eco project. Being present in 40 countries, ALD Automotive’s accumulated experience favours the offer of specialized assistance for the new eco fleet delivered to Orange, as well as consultancy and personalized services throughout the entire contract. The selection process of these vehicles started with a TCO analysis and the specific needs of Orange employees, aiming to increase cost economies and benefit from a reduced environmental impact on their auto fleet.
The initiative of adding this car model to the fleet is part of Orange’s program for energetic efficiency and lowering carbon emissions. The program started in 2009 and is based on a series of investment and operational activities.
The 4 Renault Zoe automobiles delivered by ALD Automotive are 100% electric and can be completely charged in approximately 6-7 hours in the Orange parking lot, while the employees are in their offices. Their autonomy ranges from 100 km to 150 km (depending on the driving style and environment factors), and maximum speed reaches 130 km/h. The vehicles selected by Orange for their Romanian fleet integrates the most advanced electric technology and received 5 stars for the EURO NCAP passive security tests. Moreover, Renault Zoe was declared „The best city car of 2013”.
